HDA, along with NBBJ architects, was part of the team which designed and specified furnishings and finishes for a 180,000 square foot addition to Durham Regional Hospital. Among the areas HDA addressed was this special place of prayer and worship.

A glass block wall dominates this chapel setting. Dual wood tones of cherry and maple in the walls and furniture add warmth and contrast to the wall of glimmering light. The blue organic design of the carpet and complimenting upholstery help to create a calming, peaceful atmosphere.

Non-denominational spiritual services are held on Sundays for patients and families. This chapel is available at all times for those needing a quiet, serene space.
